In the unlikely event of a leak, the water will slowly seep out of the 20lb water weights. It's a good idea to periodically check for any signs of wear or damage.
While designed for water, sand can be used as an alternative.
Each weight can typically be emptied in about 1-2 minutes by simply opening the fill cap and inverting the bag.
It's not recommended to use water weight bags in freezing temperatures as the expanding ice can damage the PVC material.
